Freelancing- a plethora of opportunities

In 2020, we can’t deny the fact that everything is being done online, and if you ask me I would have not imagined myself sitting for meetings the whole day before this year. But now, it is our routine. Due to the pandemic, we all are acquiring new opportunities to grow ourselves exponentially, and create our virtual presence, selling our services online and thinking and achieving bigger than what we had before.

Freelancing is one of those factors that joins us together and helps us to fulfill our requirements by working remotely. Personally speaking, freelance content writing is where my interest lies.

Why will freelancing be on hype in the coming era?

Freelancing- a word with thousand meanings, a career to earn limit free, a career to network a lot, a career to upskill themselves, a career to provide the best to the clients, a career to wear many hats and close a deal.

The freelance industry is estimated to scale up to $20- $30 billion by 2025. This means freelancing will be on substantial growth in the coming years because people are moving towards an independent working environment and freelancing is one of the jobs which does not require to go to the office and work, extremely flexible in terms of working hours and rates and creates your identity.

One of the main reasons that freelance business will grow in the coming years is because it is less likely to be affected by AI and technology will have lesser or no impact on freelancing jobs as compared to traditional jobs and businesses. If clients have faith in your work and want to build a long-lasting relationship by giving that particular area work to you, then AI cannot replace that human trust and its ability to create something new every time.

Why should everyone try freelancing at least once?

Freelancing not only requires specific skills to get clients, but it urges you to wear multiple hats and get your things done. Web development, content and copywriting, teaching, creating graphic design, SEO, sales, and marketing, basically one or the other industry is switching to hire freelancers because it benefits them a lot.

Creating your brand is one of the most important things in succeeding as a freelancer because if we don’t stand out from others who are providing the same service, how can we expect to get more work as a freelancer and get an online presence for the clients to reach us. If you are dedicated to any of the above skills mentioned, trying freelancing is a good option with your regular job as well, and the simple reason is who does not want an extra income, right?

Lastly, if we say in crisp words, the future of freelancing is bright. Even if you get rejected from one client, try others, start creating valuable content for your audience that creates your presence automatically, and your services are sold directly. We will earn in freelancing till the stage we are ready to work and grow ourselves.
