You spend more time commuting than giving a self-talk

Do you remember when you decided to let go of a job opportunity because the commute would have been too exhausting? Or when you suddenly changed your job because your house and office are located at two ends of Delhi?

These are not a particular individual’s problem, but the problem all of us who don’t own our personal vehicle and are forced to take costly cabs or metro/bus services- a face which are full of hassles.

Did you ever calculate how much time you are spending on commuting daily?

An average of 2 hours per day is spent traveling from home to their workplace and people often get frustrated by the time they reach their destination.

Reaching your place is a struggle. Getting worn out in this process seems normal and an office-going person spends 7% of their time traveling and losing a maximum of her fresh morning energy in the process. This also leads to not being able to deliver her best at the workplace. Long waiting for cabs, paying ridiculously-high prices to them daily, b, all burn a  hole in your pocket.

What if you spend this time in satisfying sleep and get up in a fresh mood every morning?

How is long commuting wasting your time and degrading your work quality?

Long hours of sitting in the metro with so many people around you can affect your physical and mental health and affording a normal cab every day will take a significant chunk of your salary.

Have you ever thought about what you can do if you could fully utilize your commute time to your workplace? Here are some things you can-

  • Do some extra reading and keep yourself updated with the news

  • Take that extra nap and get up relaxed and active to work for the whole day

  • Focus more on the work and less on how you will reach home and by what time.

Let’s save up the time we are wasting commuting and put it up to become a better version of ourselves daily.
