6 things you should know about Content Marketing

#1 Clearing the basics

Do you know there is a difference between the target market and the target audience? Target market account for the end consumers that will use your product and target audience accounts for the people who make this decision whether to have to take the product or not. At times, the target market and target audience coincide but in some examples, like that for baby products, it differs.

#2 Relating to a real-life example

Content marketing is like a first date because your content should talk about the readers and not about you. Which is usually done on the first date. You should make the other person in the limelight instead of you.

#3 Learn the parts of the definition

#4 Clear the Confusion first!

The major point of confusion is what’s the difference between copywriting and content marketing. It’s a one-line context- “Copywriting is a skill used for executing the strategy of content marketing”.

#5 A buyer's journey

Coming towards how a buyer’s journey is affected by content marketing. These are the three most crucial parts of a buyer’s journey-

  • Awareness- A buyer gathers awareness about the product/service he wants to buy and this is usually done through various blog posts, videos, social media posts, webinars, podcasts, and online viral content.

  • Interest- The second stage in a buyer’s journey is fixing his interest in certain products/services. This phase of his journey is affected by email newsletters, various online product comparisons, case studies, eBooks, landing pages, and much more which actually focuses on converting your interest in that product into your interest for buying it 100%.

  • Action- The last stage in a buyer’s journey where he finally takes the action to buy the product and this decision is affected by a call to action from your side. Sales pages, customer testimonials, and personalized emails help the buyer to choose whether to buy or not and if yes, from where he should buy.
